Kvaerner Pulping’s Power Division, as part of the Pulp & Paper business area, designs and manufactures chemical recovery and power generation systems for the global pulp and paper industry and energy producers. Since the early decades of the previous century, Kvaerner Pulping, Power Division’s predecessors - the Finnish Tampella Power and the Swedish Götaverken - have supplied hundreds of boilers, boiler retrofits and modernizations.

Kvaerner's bubbling fluidized bed boilers (BFB) are used for a wide variety of biomass and waste fuels from 10 to 300 MW steam capacity. For high heating value fuels, Kvaerner offers circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boilers ranging from 20 to 600 MW steam capacity.
