DANISH TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTE

 

Dhe Department of Energy of the Danish Technological Institute is an independent non-profit institution. The Centre for biofuels has a total staff of 16, mainly concerned with individual and collective heating, based on straw and wood fuels, including energy crops. The section is a partner in the Centre for Biomass Technology.

- Feasibility and technical studies (renovation and conversion of heating plants).

- Research and development (integration of bio-fuel concepts in traditional energy systems).

- Technology transfer.

- Design of information technology tools.

- Development and validation of international standards.

- Training of technicians and decision makers.

- Development and testing of pellets based on mixtures of wood and energy crops.

- Accredited testing of solid fuel stoves and boilers.
