Benet Network is a consortium of some 200 active experts in wood energy issues, belonging to private and public organisations. It is managed by the Jyväskylä Science Park.


In the region of Central Finland, the renewable energy markets are large and viable today. In long-term development work successful practices have been found. Therefore the region is now recognised as the forerunner in the utilisation of wood based energy. This experience is relevant elsewhere when seeking an advantageous solution.


Benet Network represents this wide and versatile experience. It offers development, planning and training services based on the expertise and long-term know-how of several organisations. The personnel and facilities of the members form a unique resource to promote and build up renewable energy systems.



Wood-fuel expertise


The BENET Network members have essential roles in developing bioenergy market in Finland. The Network has scientific and practical know-how in wood and other biomass utilisation and promotion. This expertise is offered in the following areas :

- consulting in planning processes ;

- laboratory and field research ;

- professional engineering services ;

- practical and theoretical training ;

- organising technology presentations and technical tours.
