AFOCEL is a research centre which aims to improve the competitiveness of
forest resources and the supply of wood to the paper industries.
Its field of activity
spreads from forestry to resource studies including species genetic

logs and chips.

concerning bioenergy and cogeneration.
Region of operation
- AFOCEL has established, with the
support of ADEME, a network of SRC plantations which constitute a large-scale
experimental tool for pulp and board industries as well as wood-fuel promoters.
